Director of Brand Experience

Job Description

Spintuech is looking for a talented and motivated Director of Brand Experience to lead and grow this area of our agency.  This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Brand Experience team which includes content, creative, brand insights, and reputation management. A large focus of the role will be driving advocacy of a strategic and cohesive brand image, voice, and message for new and existing clients. The ideal candidate is an inspirational creative leader, who fosters a collaborative culture with the agency team. You will need a deep understanding of how brand insights, content, and creative work together to form a strategic vision, and be able to articulate and advise client marketing leaders on the most effective approaches.

A successful candidate will not only be able to drive success for clients but should have a strong desire to lead and build other team members into strong digital experts. You will have a strong team surrounding you and need to be able to pull that team together and motivate them to a singular vision. 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a cross-functional team of creative strategists, designers, copywriters, content strategists, and brand reputation strategists and oversee the day-to-day operations, growth, and agency profitability of this team 
  • Monitor and report on department goals including allocation, utilization, profitability, staffing, and skills competency
  • Actively consult on brand experience with larger client accounts to provide senior-level skills and strategic perspective 
  • Use data and analytics to continually measure the impact of content and optimize content marketing programs across all channels  
  • Create and maintain scalable processes that support our transformation towards a digital-first, brand-focused agency
  • Forecast changes in our industry and develop specific business requirements to ensure future competitive advantages that aim to position Spinutech as an industry leader
  • Manage and have a futuristic vision for department staffing needs to ensure appropriate alignment with client needs while managing aggressive growth goals
  • Work closely with the account team and other department directors to ensure consistency and scalability within our approach for clients of varying levels of budget and size
  • Work closely with team leads and strategists to drive professional growth, foster team collaboration, and inspire innovation among them and their account teams
  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure that their needs are consistently met and are congruent with the company’s mission and vision
  • Work closely with the business development team to identify, qualify and close projects by being an active contributor in the pitch and proposal process

Requirements

  • A tenured leader in brand strategy with a deep understanding of how a digital marketing agency functions and how each tactic is positioned within overall marketing strategies
  • Must possess exceptional leadership skills, being able to move and inspire a cross-functional group, leading it into a unified direction and with a common vision 
  • Past experience creating integrated content and creative campaigns across digital marketing channels such as social media, paid media, website, email, and off-site
  • Demonstrated success of growing and scaling a brand strategy team
  • Must be a critical, creative, and strategic thinker
  • Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models with a strong connection to business objectives
  • Experience developing brand strategies from the ground up, articulating them clearly, and pricing them effectively from a value and time/effort perspective 
  • Success driving new business opportunities; ability to identify, cross and up-sell opportunities by partnering with account team members and articulating our value to prospective clients
  • Ability to manage and shift competing priorities and be pulled into challenging situations with little notice while maintaining composure and adding value
  • Exceptional presentation skills, ability to source and use data to articulate a complex strategy to an audience of varying degrees of marketing knowledge and expertise
  • Success cultivating high-performing teams while fostering an inclusive and high trust environment; ability to rally team members towards a shared vision that they’re excited to support
  • Minimum 6 years of experience managing an agency team
