We are seeking a qualified Sr. Social Media Strategist to lead our team of Social Media Strategists and be an overall strategy leader. This role will be responsible for implementing comprehensive social media strategies and supporting content strategies that increase web traffic, brand awareness and drive measurable sales for a variety of clients in different industries.  In addition, this position will help shape the overall direction of our social media strategies as well as grow and enhance our service offerings. In this role, you should be able to lead and execute social media strategies using a combination of organic and paid tactics. This individual should also be able to inspire and oversee the direction of other social media strategists to ensure a high level of standards are met.  Team members are required to provide a proactive service level to clients, maintain and grow strong relationships with those clients, and grow business with existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement social media strategies utilizing paid and to achieve marketing goals for a variety of clients across multiple industries
  • Lead and mentor social media strategists and help them grow as marketing professionals
  • Help define agency social media management standards and policies
  • Help recruit, train and provide one-to-one, ongoing career counseling and mentorship to other Social Media Strategists
  • Work closely with the account leads to identify key audiences and channels, market-specific value propositions and key program messages, and to conduct account planning activities
  • Analyze KPIs relative to the social strategy and create clear actionable insights from available data
  • Understand best practices and trends in social media marketing and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience
  • Use paid and sponsored capabilities within social media platforms to boost and promote content to specifically identified target audiences as needed.
  • Take responsibility for budget-pacing client campaigns to ensure that media funds are be applied appropriately
  • Create social content calendars based on company objectives, seasonal aspects, and audience considerations
  • Listen & engage with the online community and acting on the client’s behalf
  • Monitor the latest trends in social media, including advertising formats, channels and technologies to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations on how clients can best leverage new tools and services
  • Proofread and quality check, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Oversee and guide influencer marketing strategies

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in social media, digital media planning and/or marketing. Agency experience preferred.
  • Strong team leadership skills and a willingness to help foster the career growth of other supporting team members
  • Strong working knowledge of how to market and communicate to specific client audiences across all mainstream social media channels
  • Strong background in running paid campaigns on social channels
  • Experience in integrating content into multiple social distribution channels
  • Monitor out-of-scope requests, initiate additional estimates and approvals.
  • A desire to education and train other team members on best practices, trends and technologies
  • Experience with social listening to track brand health, understand consumer sentiment, improve customer experience and drive strategic decisions
  • Experience in developing and facilitating community management and engagement strategies
  • Experience developing and executing influencer strategies on behalf of brands
  • Possesses well developed analytical ability to extract insight from data and plan next steps across multiple online mediums
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and specific social channel metrics
  • Strong attention to detail, proofreading, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Strong initiative/self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed. “Can Do” attitude and team mentality a must.
