Account Director

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Account Director to join our team. Bring your digital marketing strategies, relationship management, and senior-level team leadership experience with you to our growing team. You’ll step in to support a team of Account Supervisors and Account Managers who own a large portfolio of clients in a variety of industries. You’ll rely on your past experience to work with a team of executives and strategists to deliver results on the clients’ marketing objectives. And most of all, we’re looking to team players; those who really know how to roll up their sleeves and work together across the organization. 


  • Ensure team members are effectively managing client efforts to the best of their abilities to maintain client satisfaction
  • Directly manage or contribute regular strategic guidance to client relationship to maintain a strong, relevant digital marketing aptitude
  • Collaborate with digital account team and strategy peers to ensure overall client objectives are being met
  • Provide strategic guidance for digital account supervisors and managers to develop recommendations for clients and help identify marketing needs and growth opportunities
  • Responsible for team allocation of time, utilization of billable resources, and profitability of accounts
  • Support cross-sharing among internal team members and hold brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to generate new ideas and opportunities for clients   
  • Engage in regular meetings with account service team members to discuss challenges (internal and external), review account financials and discuss growth opportunities
  • Ensure team management of internal resources, scopes of work and deliverables are strategies are completed on time, on budget and in a manner that is satisfactory to the client
  • Help establish team and individual goals and support action plans of team members
  • Manage internal team satisfaction/keep pulse on satisfaction


  • 10+ years of experience in client service and account management, including digital tactics and strategies
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Agency experience is required
  • The ability to form and maintain trust and positive relationships with team members and all levels of clients, including c-suite and executive level
  • Client-service focused, detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to identify client needs and translate client input into clear direction for the broader core team
  • Process-oriented, with the ability to implement processes to enhance team efficiency 
  • Fiscally responsible with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office tools including Excel.
  • Advanced understanding of a wide variety of online marketing tools and social media platforms and how they work together to form a comprehensive digital strategy
  • Advanced understanding of Google Analytics; certification is not required for hire but a willingness to acquire is mandatory
  • Experience with developing presentations and public speaking is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate complicated concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
