Web Project Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities

Manage multiple e-commerce and other web-based projects throughout the project lifecycle including discovery, estimating, planning, analysis and design, development, deployment, and closure

Determine project milestones and actively measure project progress against milestones to ensure timely and successful completion and follows Agile methodology

Develop and maintain key project deliverables: project plans, scope documents, communication plans, status reports, financial and risk management plans

Act as primary point of contact for Clients -in person meetings as required

Build credibility and trust with the Client to ensure project meets the Client’s needs and adheres to the approved budget

Work with quality assurance team to ensure solution meets requirements and functions properly

Work with other project managers to determine and prioritize project objectives and project risks

Assign tasks, sets priorities, manage shared resources and provide guidance in the completion of tasks and deliverables

Manage, track and escalate issues as appropriate

Contribute to business development activities and help the Sales team with estimating and delivering solutions to prospects

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience managing multiple e-commerce and other web-based projects for external Clients

Experience scoping, executing, and delivering web-based solutions 

Experience working in various CMS platforms and ability to make website changes and updates

Experience estimating website design and development work including making recommendations to current and prospective Clients

Experience managing website go live processes and procedures, and working with IT teams to facilitate hosting setup and DNS management

Experience with shared resources and working with other project managers to schedule and prioritize projects

Experience with creating and managing timelines and budgets

Experience with gathering technical or business requirements

Familiarity with Workamajig or other project management software used for tracking projects and resource time

A self-starter with genuine drive and motivation with a “can do” attitude

Excellent oral and written communication, follow up and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Possess a high degree of professionalism and flexibility
