Paid Social Team Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a Paid Social Team Lead with experience in leading paid social teams, overseeing complex paid social campaigns, and guiding a team to meet clients’ business and marketing goals. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a proactive service to clients, maintaining and growing strong relationships with peers, leadership and direct reports, and supporting the growth of existing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Paid Social Strategists, overseeing campaign execution, optimization, and overall client performance
  • Act as a primary client-facing leader, presenting strategies, performance insights, and recommendations to senior client and internal stakeholders
  • Own team accountability for campaign performance, deliverables, timelines, communication standards, reporting quality, and goal attainment
  • Identify and escalate risks or challenges to senior leadership, demonstrating strong judgement and executive presence
  • Partner with Performance Creative Strategy to develop effective, insight-driven creative briefs that drive campaign success
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Management, Analytics, Web, SEM and SEO teams to deliver integrated, full-funnel strategies
  • Build deep understanding of client business objectives, aligning paid social strategies to broader marketing and growth goals
  • Translate performance data into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives for stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on support when needed, including independently managing larger or complex accounts
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, industry trends, and best practices to continuously evolve strategies and elevate team performance


     

Requirements

  • 6 years owning paid social accounts in an agency setting
  • 2 years of people management experience
  • Proficient with Meta Business Manager, Tik Tok, Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Experience working with creative teams to provide creative direction, best practices, and the creative strategy needed to optimize paid campaigns
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, setting up CAPI, Google Analytics, Zapier, HubSpot, Salesforce, and other CRM platforms
  • Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude
  • Proficient in Google Sheets/Docs/Slides, Slack and using an agency project management system to manage deadlines and communication
