Video Production Team Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Video Production Team Lead to help lead and grow Spinutech’s video production services. This is a rapidly growing service and need for Spinutech’s digital marketing and web clients. The Video Production Team Lead would be in charge of seeing video projects through from concept development to post-production & delivery. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage the talents of existing team members and be willing to execute multiple aspects of the video production process themselves as well. This is an entrepreneurial role for someone who has a desire to help grow an emerging service line. 


  • Lead a small team of video team members to produce a wide variety of video content for clients’ marketing and brand needs. 
  • Work with clients, project managers and account supervisors to understand needs/challenges and pitch ideas for how to use video to solve those challenges. 
  • Lead client video discovery meetings to understand needs develop a scope and pull together accurate costs and statements of work
  • Work with existing agency team to concept, storyboard, direct, shoot and edit using in-house equipment
  • Develop and oversee process for administrative responsibilities associated with projects including organization of file information, video assets and audio, and video archive
  • Stay abreast of approaches to storytelling with video and advances in video, digital and web technologies
  • Work with internal marketing team to develop sales support assets for video services including case studies, presentation decks and capabilities overview
  • Maintain video equipment inventory and advise on hardware needs considering cost and efficiency


  • At least 5 years of proven work experience in a video production role with experience leading projects and team members 
  • A strong video portfolio reel that represents a wide range of video storytelling
  • Possess a desire and willingness to grow and train team members in all aspects of video production
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow an emerging agency service line
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe applications Premiere, Media Encoder, and After Effects; knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
  • Lighting and camera knowledge/experience both on location and in-studio settings; drone experience is a plus.
  • Experience mixing audio, selecting music tracks and color correcting footage
  • Expert-level collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and execute numerous production projects at one time
  • Expert project and time management skills
  • Ability to confidently present and sell creative concepts to clients
  • Ability to pivot on projects, be flexible and come up with creative solutions to logistical challenges
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Position may include some travel
