Website Experience Strategist

Job Description

This role is responsible for digging into a website’s user behavior data to understand what is and isn’t working well. Using data and design best practices, the Website Experience Strategist will be responsible for creating and executing strategies to increase conversion rates and ultimately push to enhance the overall user experience of our clients’ digital properties, including websites and mobile applications. The Website Experience Strategist will be responsible for designing and implementing A/B tests, analyzing results and making data-driven marketing decisions by working closely with internal teams along with client stakeholders to improve and grow website performance.

Applicants should have a thorough understanding of, and hands-on experience with, data driven UX and design principles, A/B and multivariate testing, statistical analysis, CRO/personalization tools (Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target, etc.), website analytics (Google/Adobe Analytics, CrazyEgg, Hotjar, etc.), design tools (Photoshop, Sketch, Figma, etc.), as well as a systematic approach to developing a final experience that drives results. Front-end development skills/experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to execute strategies and testing plans to improve on-site conversion rates
  • Conduct UX and CRO audits on client websites and apps to uncover strengths and opportunities
  • Create mockups and test specs for proposed website tests
  • Develop hypotheses and execute A/B or multivariate tests according to optimization strategies and testing plans
  • Partner with client stakeholders, designers, and development teams to recommend changes based on winning test results
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and communicate broken website components to development teams
  • Stay abreast on industry trends, website best practices and new testing platforms
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of team processes and strategies
  • Present UX/CRO designs, strategies and test performance to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a CRO, UX/design, digital marketing, or front-end design/development role
  • A deep understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce landscapes
  • Experience with one or more testing platforms such as VWO, Google Optimize, Optimizely, or Adobe Target
  • Ability to design website mock-ups/specs with Photoshop, Sketch, or other design tools
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or other web analytic platforms
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, a plus
  • Familiarity with a variety of website content management systems
  • Vast experience conducting UX/design and/or CRO audits
  • Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical team members and clients in a clear and concise way
  • Strong analytical abilities coupled with creative problem-solving skills
